IKA FOODS: A Journey Back to Real Food, Real Health, and Real Connection
Let's be honest, food doesn’t taste the way it used to. Remember those meals from your childhood? The ones made with love, care, and ingredients straight from the earth. The food that nourished not just your body, but your soul? I do. I grew up on those meals, made by my grandmother’s hands—each dish carrying the warmth and flavor of tradition.
But somewhere along the way, things changed.

I’m Ashika Parveen, and like many of you, I grew up realizing that what I ate as a child, and what my child eats today, are worlds apart. My mom would tell me stories about how she grew up on food that was clean, pure, and wholesome. But when it came time for her to feed me, she struggled to find the same quality. And now, as a mother myself, I feel that gap widening even more. It’s not just the taste that’s fading—it’s the health, the connection to where our food comes from, and the trust we used to have in what we put on our plates.
Going to the grocery store used to be simple, but now when I walk down those aisles, all I see are warnings: sugar, chemicals, preservatives. It’s as if the shelves are lined with slow poison, slowly robbing us of our health and the vibrant lives we’re meant to live. What once nourished our families now feels like a threat.
It terrified me. And I knew I couldn’t keep feeding my family this way. So, I made a change.
I started eating differently. Boiled veggies, organic rice from farms I knew I could trust. And I gave the same to my son. That’s when the idea for IKA FOODS was born—because it wasn’t just my family that needed this change. Everywhere I looked, I saw children, just like my son, growing up on food that wasn’t truly food. I thought, if I could make a change for my family, why not do it for everyone? Why not create something honest, something pure—where the ingredients don’t hide behind labels, but instead tell the story of the earth they came from?
It Started With a Simple Idea: Clean Food, or No Food at All
I gathered a few women—like-minded souls who understood the importance of what we put into our bodies. Together, we started growing our own produce. Today, there are five of us, working side by side, cultivating the kind of food we’d feed our own families, making value-added products that carry the same love and care as those meals from our childhood.
We started small, with basic masalas—because even the smallest thing, like a pinch of turmeric, matters. It can either heal or harm, depending on where it comes from and how it’s made. So, we made sure our turmeric was pure, coming straight from the hills of Karnataka, and our Byadagi chilis, handpicked from our lands in Karnataka, carried the same authenticity. No chemicals, no fillers—just food, as it was meant to be.
Because Our Health Deserves the Best
I didn’t want to just sell products. I wanted to reconnect people to the food they eat, to show them that what goes into their bodies matters—every single ingredient. That’s why, at IKA FOODS, we believe in transparency. From the moment our seeds touch the soil, to the time our products reach your kitchen, you know exactly what you’re getting. Because you deserve to know. And you deserve food that isn’t just clean, but powerful—food that heals, strengthens, and brings joy back to the table.
And it’s not just about what we’re feeding our bodies. It’s about what we’re feeding our children. We’re building this for the next generation. IKA FOODS isn’t just a company—it’s a promise. A promise that we’ll never compromise on quality, and that we’ll continue to grow, building a global community of women, farmers, and small business owners who believe in the same mission: real, honest food for everyone.
Building a Community for a Greater Good
I’m proud of what we’ve built. But I’m even more proud of where we’re headed. IKA FOODS is growing. We’re inviting women, homepreneurs, and small-scale farmers from around the world to join us. And already, from Canada to Karnataka, people are joining our movement, sharing the same passion for clean, wholesome food.
It’s not just about feeding people—it’s about educating them, bringing them back to the roots of what real food should be. We’re working together to create a world where families don’t have to worry about what’s in their food, where children grow up strong and healthy, and where the simple joy of eating isn’t clouded by fear of what’s hidden in each bite.
Reliving Childhood Memories Through Food
At IKA FOODS, we also know that food is about memories—about recreating those moments of joy we experienced as kids, sitting around the table with our families. That’s why we focus on artisan foods, the ones that are becoming extinct, to bring back the flavors of our childhood, the tastes that defined our upbringing. With every product we make, we’re keeping those memories alive for you and for your children.
We’ve spent two years perfecting our products, ensuring they’re as pure and wholesome as possible. And we’re just getting started.
IKA FOODS: Conscious Eating for Wholesome Nutrition
We're not just selling food. We’re offering a way back to health, to tradition, and to the way things should be. We believe in the power of association for a greater good, and we invite you to join us on this journey.
Because together, we can feed our families, our communities, and the world with real, honest food. And that’s a promise we intend to keep.
